Prolia Medication

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I take Prolia®?

Prolia is administered as an injection. Your healthcare professional or a trained injector will give you the injection every six months.1

How do I remember to take Prolia?

One way is to sign up for the ProVital Support Program, where a nurse will call you to remind you to make an appointment with your doctor (and refill your prescription) so you won’t forget. You can also ask your doctor or nurse for the reminder card with calendar stickers that come inside the box of Prolia.

Now that I’m taking Prolia, do I still need calcium and vitamin D?

Since different people have different nutritional needs, talk to your doctor about how much calcium and vitamin D you need.1

I’m taking some medications already. Should I worry?

You should tell your doctor about every medication and supplement you take – including prescription drugs, vitamins, minerals, other supplements and even alternative medicines, and homeopathic medications.1

I have no idea if my health/drug insurance plan will cover Prolia. How do I find out?

Your insurance company will be able to answer this question. In addition, the ProVital Support Program can give you helpful information. Call ProVital at 1-877-PRO-1002 (1-877-776-1002), or go to the sign-up page to register today.
